Clinical Profile

Mr Saket Tibrewal is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises exclusively in Knee and Sports surgery.  He is triple fellowship-trained at international centres of excellence (Sydney, Melbourne and Oxford) and has a busy practice covering all aspects of knee surgery – which includes partial and total knee replacement, arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, cartilage regeneration and biological (non-surgical) treatment options for knee pain.  Mr Tibrewal has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2016, and is currently appointed at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, where he is the lead for the Acute Knee Service and the Virtual Fracture Clinic.

Mr Tibrewal’s core philosophy is to listen to his patients in order to fully understand their individual needs and aspirations. He offers each patient bespoke individualised treatment, using the best and most up-to-date evidence, with the aim that they recover quickly and regain as high a level of function as possible. 

At Oakdin Clinic, Mr Tibrewal is able to offer a range of biological (non-operative) options for the management of arthritic knee pain.

Academic Profile

Mr Tibrewal is well published, having authored several book chapters and a significant number of articles in peer-review journals.  He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics & Trauma and a peer-reviewer for prestigious Orthopaedic journals, including The Knee and the Bone & Joint Journal. 

Mr Tibrewal has affiliations with many national and international Orthopaedic societies, including the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK), the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), in addition to being a life member of the Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society and the Magellan Orthopaedic Society.
